Liv "Kate Hudson" and Emma "Anne Hathaway" have been best friends since childhood, and have planned each others weddings down to the last detail. Number one on their list is for the ceremony  to be held at the Plaza Hotel, in New York city. They are both about to have their dreams come true; to get married and to live happily ever after. Although nothing goes as planned, a clerical error causes a discrepancy on the date of the weddings. Somehow they are they both going to be married on the same day. Now undue stress and problems are going to put Liv's and Emma's friendship to the test. Liv is used to getting what she wants.She is a prominent lawyer,and in her eyes she also has the perfect man. She will not settle for anything less than perfect for her wedding. Her best friend Emma, a schoolteacher, who always puts others before herself. Now realizes to make her dream wedding happen, she must unleash her inner Bridezilla and take no prisoners.

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson make a charming duo in the new comedy Bride Wars. Hathaway plays a shy and reserved role. Who's personality eventually comes roaring out of the box. Bridewars is not your typical comedy, but you will find it enjoyable if you get into the spirit of the film. Even though Liv and Emma lives have traveled different paths, they have always managed to be friends. Both of them get absolutely excited when they are both engaged, knowing that their long awaited wedding dreams are starting to become a reality. Both of their finances decide to stay out of the way, and let them handle the wedding plans. But, once they find out about the scheduling error, it means that one girl must change her wedding date or they will not be able to go to each others weddings. It does take long til the "Bride Wars"start and battle begins. Candice Bergen is the wedding planner, and tries to be impartial between the two friends in the and doesn't add much to the laughter.

Bride Wars is definitely a chick flick. If you have not guess by the title. That shows in the lights of Hollywood, how bad problems can get planning a wedding. Both Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson did a great job playing their roles. Although Anne Hathaway should have had more of a crazy Bridezilla come out, it would have helped the movie. Hudson did a great job, playing the spoiled, two-faced, troublemaker, that always gets what she wants. The comedy is a bit predictable and it has a few laughs. I expected more, but it is funny to watch at times, these two be so self-centered you have to laugh. Wait til it comes out on video, no rush to see this film. Unless your dying to see a mediocre chick flick.
