Not Easily Broken is a film about a young couple whose marriage is on the rocks . Both of them are starting to lose hope and are not being honest with how bad it truly has become. The couple are Dave "Morris Chesnut" and Clarice " Taraji P. Henson" after being married for quite some time , both pretending that everything is fine. Filling their lives with so many different appointments and excuses just not to be around each other; avoiding the problem all together. When one day while driving they are blindsided in their car. Causing Clarice to be injured quite badly and put into a wheelchair. They will have pull together and Dave will have to care for Clarice as much as he can. Clarice's mother Mary "Jennifer Lewis" practically forces herself into the house to help take care of her daughter. Making David feel more unneeded and wanted in the marriage. Because if Clarice does not even need him when she is critically injured , when does she need him. All the cars,money and even the house does not matter anymore; if the love they have for each other has slipped away.

Two character with almost completely different views and walks of life. Clarice, a corporate juggernaut, making the most of career and making money has become the love her life. While Dave is runs his own small business and coaching little league baseball on the side. Even though these two managed to grow apart. Somehow through their personal difference these two managed to get married and stay married this long. Can they find the strength in themselves to keep the marriage together ? With the added stress of a nosy mother-in-law and a possible affair. In today's world so many marriages and long term relationships fail. Because it is easier to quit when times get hard , then to push through and remember why couples are together in the first place. A great film , putting the problems of marriage in the forefront, making people think about what really matters in marriage, and that not all problems are unfixable, when you have love and understanding for one another. A great movie for couples to watch and see, that when problems happen you have to arise to the occasion.
