Take a quiet little community,a couple of bored teenagers and zap! You have the makings of a bad after school special. But not here, Juno takes her same situation and makes it so much more.

From the moment Juno is confronted with her pregnancy, she handles it with decisiveness and sense of purpose that is unexpected for her years. In fact it is almost a personal crusade, to take her situation and make the world a better place. Her Parents , blind sided by her situation and her matter of a fact plans for her future follow along almost emotionless. Accustomed to their daughters unconventional take on life, they are supportive in action but, distance them self in all else. They are like many a married couple, long since numbed by the realization and acceptance that their dream and, expectations for life have all but passed them by.

Then there is the "couple", Juno's answer to a better world. One where a is child is loved, excepted ,nurtured and the reality that is marriage when peoples dreams go in different directions. His, with a lust for youth and fulfillment of dreams from years past that have been compromised begrudgingly away.Seasoned with a fear of aging and what comes next. Hers, with the dreams of the perfect family, formulated as a child with all the unrealistic expectations that come attached. Blinded by her need to be what she feels is expected of her.

Juno is a poignant and witty look at life, relationships, and the often crushed idealism of youth. Definitely not an after school special.
